At Litewave, we take the health and safety of our employees and the general public seriously, and are committed to providing a safe and secure workplace.  


We have created a health and safety program that conforms to the best practices in our industry. All Litewave employees, including management, receive ongoing formal health and safety training that adheres to their respective jurisdiction, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CCOHS (Canadian Centre for Occupational Health & Safety) standards.  


We offer safety training seminars throughout the year to ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities in creating a safe and secure work environment.

Our Health & Safety training program covers a variety of topics including:

  • Emergency response systems and procedures

  • Job function-specific safe work practices (confined space, strand work, electrical hazard analysis, fall protection)

  • Safe equipment operation practices and procedures

  • Environmental policy

  • WHMIS and hazard assessment training

  • Confined spaces (additional training with Bell Canada and Toronto Hydro)

  • Working at Heights and Work Area Protection

  • First Aid training

  • Accident and incident reporting procedures

On-site and field equipment includes:

  • Complete first aid emergency kits

  • Fire extinguishers

  • GPS and satellite tracking and immediate two-way communications with all locations

  • Fall arrest systems (confined spaces)

  • Gas detectors

Every Litewave vehicle undergoes weekly inspections to ensure proper working order and all equipment is reviewed regularly to ensure proper functionality.
